![]() Hello Everyone, Yesterday morning the Nunda community gathered together once more to support each and the Almeter family. A few weeks ago Math teacher Ryan Almeter was taken from us all to soon after a hot air balloon accident. That following Sunday the community gathered to honor his memory and lit hundreds of lanterns that lit up the sky. A few days later we gathered in the gym where he would play with his students to speak to his name and faith. Yesterday, we gathered in a different way. A few students wanted to create a way to help his family. In doing something that would bring everyone together in a fun way. All the Meters 5k was created. Everyone gathered to laugh and honor his memory in joy. Students laughed together, faculty showed that they were more than go workers, they are a family. We were honored to have a large turn out from Mr. Almeter's neck of the woods. Students were laughing and smiling. Mr. Holtz and Mr. Raymond marched the route playing a cadence in honor of Mr. Almeter's dedication to the revival of the school band. Love was had and shared. Thank you to all who came and laughed with us. Thank you for your support. Thank you for the donations from our sponsors and for all who gave what your could. Without you this would still be an idea in the mind of a few twelve and thirteen year old students. Sincerely, Kate

As Will said before we began the session "You hired someone who has only done girls photos to do a guys senior photos?" he was joking of course but it was true. Aside from dragging my brother away to do some photos after events I have never done male photos outside of an event setting. So this was a way for me to learn. When working with guys the poses you would do with girls doesn't look right or as natural, so as someone who has in the past only work with girls, I had to switch things up. As well as the fact that guys are not always as eager to be in front of the camera lens as girls. So thank you to Will for letting me take you senior photos and for giving me a chance to grow. If you click the photos it will take you over to Will's Page Have a great day everyone Katelyn Costello Hello Everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend of Nunda Fundays. For my friends in the rest of the internet, Nunda Fundays is the fair my town holds every year around this time. It's interesting to see all the people that come out, some people you haven's seen in forever and are happy to see, others .... well you don't miss seeing them. Everyone comes out of the wood work for this yearly event. I was able to get some of the events of the weekend. While my sister ran the Once Again Nutbutter 5k I sat on my front porch in my pajamas and took photos as the runners ran up the road, past my house and to the finish line. Seems like a pretty good deal to me right? I took pictures of the cubscouts of troop 4077 as they prepared their cowboys themed float for this years parade with the help of some lovely friends and dads. And finally like everyone else in the town I pulled a chair up to main street and planted myself for the Nunda Fundays Grand Parade. Hello Everyone, Congragulation to everyone at the conert last night. You all did wonderful. To the eighth graders moving up to the high school please keep up with band it is a lot of fun. And to the seniors who will be graduating and sang your solos last night. Each one of you did beautiful on your solos. Now as always I took photos, but I did video tape three songs per request which will be going up as fast as I can, but wifi kinda lags a lot. Hopefully those will be up by Friday. Katelyn |
